MONTREAL -- Scarlet Rose Productions is expanding its publishing operations into the Adults-Only Market.
"There's a demand for entertaining adults-only comics in the comics market and other retail venues," explained creator/artist Francisco M. Rosa, "and Scarlet Rose Productions is rounding up talented veteran creators and hot newcomers to produce some interesting erotic projects."
The first adults-only titles from Scarlet Rose Productions will ship in December 1997. Information for those books can be found in distributor's September catalogs, specifically Diamond's Previews Adult supplement.
EMBASSY #0 introduces us to a female strike team who've banded together to fight planet-conquering aliens who've set their sights on Earth.
"Veteran artist Gabriel Morrissette (Ragman, Doc Savage, Deathstroke, Northguard) has produced some of his best pencil work for my story, which I'm honored to ink," stated Francisco.
VARIATIONS ON THE THEME #5 is the first part of a two-part story involving characters that appeared or were mentioned in issue 1. It ties up the story of one of the most interesting relationships presented in the series; specifically, that of a romantic encounter between a 39 year-old woman and an 18 year-old man and how their affair affected both their lives.
"Letting go of the Mature Readers tag for the Adults Only one has helped broaden the scope of the stories we can tell," said Mike Aragona, line editor for Scarlet Rose Productions. "This will become even more apparent with the books we have set for release in 1998.
